Hot Pink Life

i_song_hot_pink_life

From the plaintive cries of love requited to the frenzied shrieks of a love that cannot be: The booger loves the chewing gum, but sadly, he is inanimate. As suitors, the fly and the spider have the physical advantage. This song was spawned in a feverish daydream at the DMV on the occasion of having to re-take the written driving test. As I filled out the multiple-choice squares, I absent-mindedly put my hand under the desk where I felt stickiness and at that moment there emerged an abnormally oppertunist fly whose unshakable mission seemed to be to take up residence in my right ear. A note for math-nerds and prog-heads: I conceived the vamp section as 7 beats = (1-2) – (1-2-3) – (1-2). Matt-tat-tat considered the first 2 beats as a pick up proceeded counting as he preferred 7 beats = (1-2-3-4) – (1-2-3) and. I guess it works either way.

Recorded “live in the studio.”

Hot Pink Life – Lyrics
Once there was a booger
Who dwelt under a tabletop.
He was known as “Bleagh!”
“Bleagh!”
Bleagh dwelt there with other boogers
And a piece of blackened bubblegum
called
“Lola”
“Lola”
“Lola”
“Lola”
“Lola”
“Lola”
“Lola”
On a hot, dry, summer day
Bleagh watched aghast
As Lola was violated by a fly
Who pierced her with his proboscis
He pierced her with his proboscis
He pierced her with his proboscis
He pierced her
Under the mysterious folds
of Lola’s Dark Skin is
Hot pink life!
Under the mysterious folds
of Lola’s Dark Skin is
Hot pink life!
Anton the spider
Who also viewed this
Was so enamored therefrom…
That he covered the entire scene
with spider jizz…
He covered the entire scene
with spider jizz…
